Anger Management
People demonstrating anger, violence, and other aggressive behaviors will benefit from the Anger Management Course at Family Services at Warren County.

Participants will learn:

How to halt escalation in angry situations

How to identify and deal with trigger thoughts

The real reasons underneath the angry feelings

To understand anger as a “secondary emotion”

How to practice effective alternatives like: listening, conversation repair, and assertiveness.

Relaxation and calming techniques

How to monitor angry feelings using a journal

Appropriate ways to relate to people

How to use stress and time management to prevent high conflict situations.

An intake evaluation will assess an individual’s level of anger, cynicism, and hostility and identify any other personal issues that may interfere with managing anger.
