Getting the Life You Want
Women re-entering the community from jail or substance abuse treatment must often simultaneously comply with conditions of probation, achieve a means of financial support, access health care, establish suitable living accommodations, and reunite with their family. Accomplishing these goals is often overwhelming to individuals with few job skills, poor education, or little or no work experience. Without strong support in the community many women get caught in a cycle of drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence, or criminal offenses.

Getting the Life You Want is a weekly group that addresses the core issues facing these women. The program has been developed by Family Services of Warren County to create opportunities for change in the lives of this vulnerable population and help them acquire life skills needed to make positive, healthy choices for themselves and their families.

This program is made possible by a contribution from Zonta Club of Warren.
