Healthy Relationships Program
The Healthy Relationships Program is a class for men who have committed acts of abuse or domestic violence. It is designed to challenge their beliefs and behavior about the use of power and control in relationships.

The class meets once a week for two hours. It takes 24 weeks to complete the program.

Through lecture and instruction, men are introduced to a model of relationships based on respect and equality.

Specific skills are taught, such as relaxation techniques and positive self-talk.

Group discussions provide an opportunity for men to think critically and reflectively about the way they interact with others.

Each individual is responsible for his own action plan, in which he identifies a behavior he wants to alter, a goal with which to replace it, and the steps needed to accomplish the change.

Evaluations are completed on every class member at 12 and 24 weeks. The evaluations are submitted to the Warren County Adult Probation if the individual has been court ordered to attend.

The first step is to schedule an admission screening. Working one-on-one with program staff, it is determined what services are most appropriate and will comply with the order of the court system.
