WHAT IS ART THERAPY?
Art therapy is a type of mental health service that involves making art.
Much of art therapy is nonverbal, focused instead on art-making processes and
experiences. Art therapists have master-level degrees, are credentialed
by the Art Therapy Credentials Board, and are trained in both psychology and art.
WHO IS ART THERAPY FOR?
Art therapy can benefit many people! No artistic experience
or skill is necessary to participate in art therapy.
Art therapy can be helpful for individuals who feel they’re not making
progress with other mental health services, who struggle to find
expressive words and/or who enjoy making art.
Art therapy is available to help individuals
