Makenzee Robertson, LPC
Full Time Mental Health Clinician
I completed my Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and then received my Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling also at Edinboro University. I hold a License in Professional Counseling in the state of Pennsylvania. I began working in this field as a TSS, providing support to multiple clients in the school, home and community. During this time, I helped to transfer skills to the other adults in the clients lives in order to provide more support for them in these settings. I then went on to be a Family Based Mental Health Counselor and then Family Based Mental Health Professional. During this time, I provided crisis services, individual therapy, family therapy, couple’s counseling and worked on trying to help make changes within the family’s structure. Throughout this time, I have worked with multiple diagnoses including Anxiety, Depression, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD and trauma related disorders. Currently I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Eco-systemic Family Therapy (ESFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I enjoy listening to others “stories” and what has lead them to where they are, while also helping them work toward the ending they envision for themselves.
