Certified Recovery Specialist/Certified Family Recovery Specialist

My name is Page Rodriguez, and my journey of recovery began in January 2022. After overcoming my personal struggles with addiction, I arrived in Warren, homeless with three children, but also with a renewed sense of hope and the opportunity to make a meaningful change. At the time, I was three months sober and working as a PRE-K teacher at a local center.

Shortly thereafter, I transitioned into my role as a Peer Specialist, where I began supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders and mental health challenges. Over the next three years, I collaborated closely with Child Protective Services, working on family reunification efforts for parents whose children had been removed at birth due to exposure to toxins. This work involved partnering with parents, case workers, and other professionals to help families navigate the path to reunification.

Currently, I serve as a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), continuing my mission to offer radical acceptance to all individuals, and working to improve the lives of those in need of services. As an advocate for those who often feel voiceless, I am passionate about empowering individuals to take ownership of their own recovery. I believe in meeting people where they are and helping them set and achieve their personal goals.

To me, advocacy is not about standing alone against the world. It’s about uniting with like-minded individuals to form a coalition focused on serving others with strength, compassion, and purpose.
