Mental Health Counseling
Mental Health Counseling can come in many forms. Here at Family Services, we offer talk therapy and Art Therapy. In talk therapy you will be able to speak with a counselor who hears what you say and can provide feedback to make you reflect on your own situation and find ways to change or improve yourself and the issues you experience. Our counselors are available to help you work through a wide variety of issues. We utilize methodologies that have a strong base in evidence-based research. All our counselors are licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

What Will Happen?
Once you call or visit our agency you will not have to wait long for an intake assessment as we generally are able to schedule you within a few days to a couple of weeks. The first session, also called the intake, is up to two hours long and dedicated to support you and finding out what you are looking to get out of counseling. After that a typical counseling session, which can occur ranging from several times a week to once per month based on what you want, is normally an hour long but can be modified depending on your needs.
